"Cold dust"

Blogger is on my side tonight, yipee, a picture post it is!
This morning(technically yesterday, but I haven't gone to bed yet so to me this morning) we woke up to a fresh layer of "cold dust" according to Kaitlyn. What fun! They could hardly wait to go out and play.
Quick story from last night since I just remembered it.
Kaitlyn can sing, a song, with real words! I was shocked, usually she just makes it up as she goes or throws in a word here or there.
Well we were driving home from the grocery store in sleet and she started to sing "rain, rain go away..." It was so funny to hear her little voice sing such a fitting song, now I just have to figure out where she picked that up, hmmmm, I wonder if there is a Dora episode with that diddy in it.

Ethan wasn't so sure about the snow, but than again this time last year neither was Kaitlyn. I guess it takes a bit to get used to. Once he was in his swing he was happy, an old fail safe.

The first snow man of the year was built , though he didn't last long. He was quickly picked apart and crushed. Ahhhh, I sure wasn't looking forward to this weather, but Kaitlyn sure likes it, I will play along for her and drag poor Ethan out into it too. Hopefully her winter love---which she gets from her daddy rubs off on us soon!

Mail, oh love getting packages in the mail! And today I got a big one! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Grumpy! Yay, now I can make bacon and eggs and pancakes all at once, or at least I can do a whole package of bacon at once, breakfast company, come on over!
Uncle Phil came over for a bit tonight to break up the boredom, really to give me a break. Dave was on the late shift tonight, and didn't get home till around 8:30---I really shouldn't complain, it's not like he is pulling all nighters. However I still like to have the time to whip around and get things done without a little one hanging onto my leg.

I got the chance to bake cookies, yay, my practice batch is out of the way, and went smoothly. Yummy too!
Lately Kaitlyn has been very intent on doing my hair, brushing combing and styling. I enjoy it too, she is such a girly girl. Like her t-shirt? She put it on herself, along with a pair of Ethan's jeans. Her third or fourth outfit of the day, I can't even remember. After doing my hair she turns ot me and says, "rock, scissss, papeeeerrrrr" and shoves her little fist out to me. I giggled, and played along. Then had to ask her where in the world she learned to play rock, paper, scissors. She looked up at me and said, "mom, Phil!"
Wow, she is growing so fast, where did my baby girl go?
I am beat, good-night!

Mmm bacon....

oh sorry, got sidetracked with the thought of the scrumptious crispy thought of bacon..

Oh right, back to the comment.. Have I mentioned how much I love bacon....

Oops, there I go again.

Here's my other thought. I hate winter.

Have a great day!

Hello,

I am glad the kids are enjoying winter already. Come visit and the boys will have them snowboarding in no time...On another note let me know if you want some roll ends for crafts. And I will get one in time for x-mas.

Love Lori

My daughters are too young yet, but one of my boys loves to play with my hair and 'fix' it. Only problem is that my hair is to my knees and he tends to "fix" it in knots. Last time I had to call my friend heather and have her come over to get them all out. LOL
