Feeling a little green

And not the environmental kind of green. It is not that we really don't try but we both drive gas guzzling SUV beasts and we do not recycle soup cans. I know, I know, something to work on right?!

Early this afternoon the contractors who are going to reno our bathroom called and gave me 8 min's notice that they were coming over to do the quote.
Let me tell you did I ever scramble and got a little over zealous.....that is a pair of Kaitlyn's pants hanging from her chandelier that I threw into her room in the last-minute-dash-cleaning-frenzy.
Emily had just arrived---thank goodness or I would have stalled them by sending them to fetch me a coffee or something.

Since Ethan was still sick and seeming to get worse I was spending all my time with him. He seemed tired so I promised the girls a tea party and to give them something to do and buy me some time I sent them on a search for all things green.
I don't know why considering that St. Patricks day is a ways off, we'll just say it is that smidgen of Irish in our blood rearing it's head.

We sipped green tea...

with green friends...

wearing green clothes, and nibbled fake green food.

The rest of the afternoon seemed to go down hill for Ethan. It was now his third day with no solids and his cough was getting chesty. While getting groceries I talked with the pharmacist and she said he didn't sound that bad and she would let it go another day and then see how he was, but also to let my instincts be the guide.
I was getting worried about him and started to think a trip to the doctor might be in order.
As soon as Dave came home I packed him up and off we went to the clinic.
One listen by the doc and the words I dreaded were uttered.......pneumonia and hospital.

He is booked to be admitted in the morning, so pray for him please!

Back home Kaitlyn had been missing out on all the attention and was fake coughing to get noticed, trying to get up on my lap, "me cough, like Ethan, up please." I sure hope Ethan is better or at least on the mend by Sunday, I just don't know if I can do this without Dave and his support around.

Reading up on pneumonia, poor buddy.

Sorry to hear that news, Anna. I was reading your post and noticed your new avatar with the hospital bed in the background and thought "uh oh, this is not heading in a good direction" ... sure enough, I read on and I'm right! BUT ... you're the best mommy!! SUPER mommy instincts! I'm sure he'll be on the mend real quick once he's in the hospital. Big ((hugs))!
