Kaitlyn @ Eleven Weeks
We are back, but not in black! Kaitlyn is 11 weeks old! Wow it feels like she has been with us for almost 3 months. Oh... I guess that would be 11 weeks. Just a little joke to ease the tension.
Those pictures are of Kaitlyn and her little friend, Avery. She is ten days older than Kaitlyn. They met in Regina during Thanksgiving weekend. Avery is Barrie and Lesley Clark's third child. Barrie is Doug's(Anna's Dad),first Cousin.
She is so happy, most of the time. She just smiles a lot, and it looks so cute. Every morning is the same, Kailtyn wakes up and smiles and talks, well not really, more like GAH;KAY;MGAY;MKAY;DAA and similar words. I am trying to get her to say DADA, it's only a matter of days...well ok maybe months, but I am trying. She had her first giggle On Oct 28, saying AH.AH.AH, while we were in the kitchen making supper, talk about a suprise.
Kaitlyn went to church for the first time, on Oct 23. She was awake the whole time. Anna had to leave for awhile and feed her, but that's alright, there's no better time to teach her about the Lord.
Anna went to weigh Kaitlyn today, she weighs 13 lbs 3/4 oz. Kaitlyn is 23 1/4 inches long. I would say tall, but she really can't stand yet. Maybe the proper term is, 23 1/4 inches horizontally, or maybe I am just Babbling.
Well it has been a busy week and it gets even better, you get another post tomorrow Nov 1. That's right, Kaitlyn's first Halloween! She looked so cute in her little .... oh wait, I don't want to spoil the suprise. In the mean time, please take a look at Kaitlyn's new PICTURES!

Items of interest
There will be a new post On Oct 31. However I wanted to point out a couple of things.
One is that Anna had taken an old chandelier from her brother Philip's room and decorated it with beads and fake gem stones and we put it up in Kaitlyn's room.
While we were in Regina for Thanksgiving, we received a little dog that has been a wonderful addition to our family. We named him Patrick Lamont the 3rd, or Patches for short. Patches was given to us by Charles and Jackie, who have 3 kids of their own, and are expecting their fourth. Coming up with Patrick's name was quite the effort, however Anna's eldest brother Paul helped out. You will see by the picture that he is Green, Yellow and has some patches, well 3 to be exact.
Green: Patrick as in St Patrick of the Irish.
Yellow: Lamont as in Lime/Lemon.
the 3rd: three patches.
As most of you may know, Kaitlyn has her own fish tank.It is a little tank, at only ten gallons. The week after she was born we went and bought 4 molly's for her tank. Three weeks ago Anna noticed a little baby fish swimming in the tank. She put the fish in a little breeder tank, and we have watched it grow. On Saturday Oct 29th we noticed more little fish. So we put them in the breeder and tank, and took out the first baby fish, just to be on the safe side. We now have 25 fish. I don't know what we are going to do with them. We do have 2 other tanks, so maybe we will end up stocking them up or maybe give them away to a pet store.

Kaitlyn...All smiles!
Kaitlyn is 9 weeks old as of Oct 17. She sure has aged. This week we didn't really do too much. Anna went and bought a Play Gym for Kailtyn. It is pretty cool. It has lights and plays music. It has all sorts of things for Kaitlyn to look at and play with when she is older. Kaitlyn has out-grown all her newborn clothes and has almost out-grown her 3 months clothes. She is pretty big. The last time she was weighed was when she was 7 weeks old and she weighed 11 lbs 4 oz. Kailtyn is really starting to develop a personality. She is smiling quite a bit now, and she is always looking around trying to find interesting things to look at. Kaitlyn is getting very good at following movements with her eyes, at least until she gets bored. She has been such a gem lately however she is starting to cry more, but not too much. Kaitlyn was supposed to get her shots on Saturday, Oct 15, however she has a cold, that she got from me, and we have postponed her shots until November. I have added more pictures and will keep you up to date soon. PICTURES!

Kaitlyn's First Thanksgiving!!
Take a Look at the Latest Pictures of Kaitlyn Here!
Well Kaitlyn is now 8 weeks old, she has changed so much, it amazing just looking as the changes since the first pictures of her that we took. Just think how it will affect us in 5 or 10 years. Well, family + Friends in Edmonton hosted a baby shower for Anna on Oct 3rd. Thank you all for organizing and attending, we appreciate everything. Thank you for all the wonderful gifts and love. We are truly blessed to have such loving friends and family.
This past weekend was Thanks-giving. Anna and I took Kaitlyn to Regina to visit with her family as most had yet to see Kaitlyn up close. We drove down on Thursday night after I was done work. It was a long drive, however Kaitlyn was so good. The Drive was looking so good when we had to stop in Vegreville, which is only an hour out of Edmonton, in a 7.5 hour drive. Anna fed Kaitlyn, changed her and off we were. We stopped in Lloydminster (2 hours out of Edmonton), for supper. We ended up being there for over an hour. The rest of the trip was smooth. Kaitlyn was so good. She pretty much slept the rest of the way to Regina.
We had a great time in Regina, Anna's family just loves Kaitlyn. Nanna + Gramps Picard also flew to Regina from Toronto. It was very nice to see them again. We had turkey dinner on Friday night, it was very good and we had ham on Saturday night, which also was good, and then we had leftovers, which were good as well. Kaitlyn was just a little princess, however I didn't really see her that much as everyone was hogging her. I believe that everyone had a wonderful time, I know we did. We came back on Monday, which was rather unfortunate as I missed the Eskimos game. That's alright, family is more important than football anyway, at least I think it is. Kaitlyn was so good during the drive. She slept a lot and only had to be changed twice. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful baby that doesn't cry a lot or fuss a lot. She has her moments but for the best part she is wonderful.
